bits and pieces

I made a rabbits foot key ring,the foot is inserted into a roe deer antler,i used my recently made pine glue to stick it in,its holding well,i would think being a natural product it adhered well with the antler and bone...
I made a video of the birch tree showing razor strop and birch tree uses..
Ive managed to pick up a well established route that roe deer use,ive been successful in following some tracks,but i havent got enough time yet to persue them further,i must dedicate a day to this in the future...heres a video with me following the slots ..enjoy the music..

shelter tripod

i use this method in my larger shelters...the tripod has different levels,this is used to suspend pots,dry fire wood,smoke meats,and cure furs etc...the tripod goes all the way to the roof..

wire cage squirrel trap

this is just a rolled chicken wire with a chicken wire inlet...the squirrel goes in gets confused and cant find its way out..

another walking stick

ok,you guessed it ,i like walking sticks....
this one was a different project for me...ive been searching for a twisty(a stick thats being crushed by honeysuckle usually),the sapling or branch will eventually die,so i feel good that im able to get it to live through me...ive had a few twistys,but eventually give them away etc...so searching for one has been quite time consuming,it has to be right,ie straight,or not to bent,and really suitable for a walking stick...so i found a good one...after studying it at home,i thought i could carve something out of it...now ive never carved in my life i cant,but i did produce a carving,not sure what it is,but i see it as the spirit of the stick...so i call it a woodland spirit....
